    Where Should I Travel With My Kids?

    Traveling as a family offers an opportunity to BOND, LEARN, and EXPLORE together.

    I always marvel at the many must-see places in the world and wonder where will bring joy, spark curiosity, and create a truly unforgettable family vacation.

    Growing up without family vacations, I've made it my goal to teach my children about various cultures and destinations. I'm sharing my family’s bucket list, "FAMILY TRAVEL THAT KIDS WILL LOVE: 20 MUST-VISIT DESTINATIONS," to inspire family vacations and add a little wanderlust to the magic of childhood.

    When the destination is right, the experience becomes even more magical. Whether it's the allure of theme parks, the excitement of sleeping with bears, the intrigue of historical sites, or ordering your lunch with Lego robots, there’s something for every family on this list. Let's explore some of the top bucket-list destinations for traveling with kids.

    It resembles a magical playground with stunning landscapes and exceptional natural wonders, making it an ideal destination for a family travel adventure.

    Imagine the whole family viewing the Northern Lights and exploring geysers in Geysir and Strokkur, then relaxing in the Blue Lagoon. For an educational twist, visit the Perlan Museum to learn about glaciers and volcanoes. This trip will be unforgettable.

    Disneyland has so many attractions that everyone can enjoy, from thrilling rides to enchanting parades. It’s such a fun place for a family trip!

    This location is on my family's road-trip list because it is close to home, but I would love to visit all the park locations!

    If you visit between late March/April and around the end of July or possibly early August, you have a chance to see puffins (my family travel bucket list adventure!).

    • Edinburgh: Explore the medieval Edinburgh Castle and take a ghost tour of the city's underground vaults. The Edinburgh International Children's Festival is a must-see if you're visiting in late May or early June.

    • Stirling: Discover the rich history of Stirling with a visit to Stirling Castle, one of Scotland's grandest fortresses. The nearby Battle of Bannockburn Experience offers an interactive exploration of Scottish history. Kids will also enjoy a visit to Blair Drummond Safari Park, where they can see animals up close.

    I’ve been looking into Great Wolf Lodge for a family vacation, and I am excited to say we will be heading there in February 2025!

    The main attraction is their expansive indoor water park, which features water slides, wave pools, lazy rivers, and splash zones that cater to kids of all ages. One of the highlights for kids is MagiQuest, an interactive adventure game where they use magic wands to solve puzzles and complete quests throughout the resort.

    Beyond the water park, there’s the Adventure Park with mini-golf, a ropes course, bowling, and a climbing wall, providing endless entertainment options. They also have character appearances where kids can meet the Great Wolf Lodge mascots and participate in themed activities and story times.
